Thank you to all who were able to attend the soft opening of the first iteration of Occupy Vacancy. We are especially grateful for all the neighbors who attended, and huge thanks Mr. Cory for watching our supplies as we built. We want to thank our Alderman Jesse Todd for supporting this project and the LRA for granting us the land to proceed. We also want to thank the fabricators who made this work possible, McGee Masonry, Enterprise Alexander, Dan Smith, Majenta Strongheart with Supply Frame DesignLab and Scoops of Joys for coming through with some delicious frozen treats for the event. We're honored to be able to create work with the aim of meaningful impact as well as building stronger communities. We all have a role to play. Let's keep working together.
